Antique Framed Chinese Embroidered Collar from the Late Qing Dynasty

This late Qing Dynasty Chinese embroidered collar, produced in the late 19th or early 20th century, is crafted from silk and features vibrant hand-embroidery. It includes three metal buttons that are characteristic of typical collar fastenings found in women's casual attire. The designs, which showcase floral roundels and swirling tendrils, correspond to the decorative styles used for detachable collars worn over jackets. This item has been preserved flat in a lovely display frame, which has helped maintain the integrity of the embroidery, although the collar's edges exhibit slight wear, and the final two images show some minor fraying, indicative of its age.

The collar measures 10.25 inches in length and 4 inches in height.  The frame measures 17.5 inches by 10 inches.
